Main Market Operators: Currently, there are 7,289 manufacturers and/or exporters from 108 countries, among them 1,266 in the U.S. and Canada.
Considering the US and Canadian market as a whole, the industry is made up of 2,051 companies, among them 1,194 manufacturers, 72 exporters and 64 importers.
The above data show that almost 20% of the total number of the world manufacturers and/or exporters are the U.S. and Canadian-based companies.
Almost 50% of them are simultaneously importers, wholesalers and/or retail dealers. On the other hand, these markets have a distribution concentrated among relatively very small number of companies.
This particular feature of the U.S. and Canadian market however is starting to change.
