Ortho - Orthodontic Adhesive with ACP
Aegis
Ortho is a light-cured orthodontic adhesive containing Amorphous Calcium
Phosphate (ACP). In scientific testing, ACP has demonstrated the ability
to remineralize tooth structures, promoting the enhancement of the tooth's
natural repair mechanism by releasing calcium and phosphate ions. Aegis
Orthodontic Adhesive is used for bonding orthodontic brackets and bands
to etched enamel. Often, when orthodontic braces are removed, there
may be signs of tooth demineralization in the area under or around the
bracket. Aegis ORTHO may help prevent the demineralization that can
occur due to micro-leakage or non-compliant patient oral hygiene. Aegis
Orthodontic Adhesive can be used with most light-curing devices. Aegis'
controlled flowability keeps the adhesive on the tooth while the practitioner
secures accurate placement of the bracket. Aegis Orthodontic Adhesive
can help keep teeth safe from plaque and bacteria build-up that can
form on permanent teeth.
